Jane Moves in Fast Company

This interesting link came across our desk today and Jane couldn't resist sharing it with you, dear reader.

From Fast Company, the magazine, comes this weblog...asking the so-pertinent question: "What are your favorite business blogs written by women -- and blogs about women at work? Tell us."

Jane found the link thanks to Nik at the Home of SPONNG...writing in a category called 'awareness.'  We would like to thank Nik...but we see no place to add comments on his/her blog. We hope he--or she--is reading, today. We are honored to be included among the fine blogs listed.

A second visit to Fast Company's blog moves us to give extra special thanks to Bob Cargill of A Fine Kettle of Fish...who actually submitted our blog to the Fast Company list.

While we're at it, we would like everyone to visit A Fine Kettle of Fish and help Bob with his Boston Marathon Run. He's running for Children's Hospital  Boston:

Meanwhile, Fast Company has a long list of posts about women in business, including links to some tragic stories-- stories that makes those of us at Lip-sticking grit our teeth and clench our fists and...wonder what century we're living in. Surely, not the 21st century-- where women are equal to men? Oh, Jane forgot...we're still working on that.

Our request today, dear readers, is that you visit the Fast Company blog, add a few women's blogs from your reading, and...perhaps a note of encouragement about women in business.

Surely, there are inspiring, uplifting, successful stories to go along with the notes of discouragement. Jane does not want to diminish the troubles these women have endured, but...we believe that the good will ultimately outweigh the bad, and if we can brighten someone's day by cheering her on, we will always do so.

Our favorite saying these days, because we firmly believe women are fast learning to control the Internet, is:

"I am woman, hear me roar, my home is now my store, my office and so much more."

What's not to like about that?

Your blog is on my list of favorite business blogs -- written by BOTH men and women -- and should be on everyone else's too. Lip-Sticking is a "must read" in the blogosphere.
