Sunday night...recovering from our marvelous trip to NYC. Yes, dear readers, the Big Apple. The crowded, noisey city that never sleeps -- and wastes too much electricity -- IOHO.
Never the less -- who can argue that NYC is THE place to be for -- writers, publishers, actors, innovative thinkers, businessmen and women, and all manner of human beings inbetween? Not Jane! Never Jane! (well, had you accompanied Jane, you might have heard some whining...Jane is a bit adverse to crowds and heights- though we did go high up in the Marriot Marquis with our fiance Tom, and our sister, Maryanne, and our friend Gerry Murak, and did glance, just glance, mind you, out the window at Times Square).
We will be giving you a more complete report over the next few days; news on all the marvelous people and books we met at the Expo, held at the Jacob Javits Center. We will applaud numerous new friends and make just one or two complaints. One is entitled, we think, to point out problems one encounters on these trips -- though we more than appreciate the enormous work that went into preparing for this event.
Meanwhile, we hope to post on our most delightful interview this month! On Wednesday night we carried on a lengthy conversation with Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff of Build a Better Blog System, and numerous call-in folk who asked such intriguing questions, our coffee got cold! (this is, indeed, a good thing, dear reader -- to be so engrossed in discussion that you forget your
coffee!)
Stay tuned! Jane has a world of great experiences to share -- about women and books, about women and the Internet, and about women working with men to make BIG things really happen!
What's not to like about that?
