Isn't that what it's all about, dear readers? Making friends? Online and off? We have met so many marvelous people via our blog. Folks who are funny, talented, so, so smart, and so friendly, we consider this social networking tool a must have when considering your approach to marketing to women online.
Today, we have several announcements. We are eager to share a few new friends in the blogosphere (and one friend from waaay back!), *new content added 8/10 in the afternoon*: a special announcement regarding our 'conversation' tonight at Patsi and Denise's...and then...we have an announcement that has us feeling mighty grand.
New friends: Skip Lineberg from Marketing Genius at Maple Creative. Skip wrote and mentioned that he links to us, and would we mind returning the favor? After reviewing his blog, we gave a delighted thumbs up. Skip has his act together. We're so happy to add him to our growing list of friends.
Tom Pick of Web Market Central who describes himself as "an underemployed senior marketing guy."
Eric Sohn of 9t05andOtherwise whose caricature makes Jane drool! IE calls his site: Life (over IP). We relate!
Kim Krause Berg from Cre8asite forums and blog. We received a nice note from Kim, referring to a trackback some time ago. It's encouraging to know others get so busy they lose track of things just like Jane! We're so glad to hear from Kim -- we did not realize her blog was not among our Bloglines. It is now!
*New: old news Jane left out of our post when we wrote it early this morning: Tonight, we have the unique privilege to be part of an online Conversation with Denise Wakeman and Patsi Krakoff, of the Build a Better Blog project. These two very Smart and delightful ladies, who collectively make up a BIG part of the blogosphere (just do a search on their names-- they're everywhere!) asked us to be a part of their weekly Conversations with Experts, representing the publishing industry.

<deep breath> Now, dear readers, Jane has some exciting news. Some amazing news. Some "wow are we proud of ourselves" news.
In December of this year a new book is coming out on the market. A book about Blog Marketing. Written by our so smart and talented friend, Jeremy Wright of Ensight -- A Business and Tech Blog. Why is Jane so excited about Jeremy's upcoming book, being published by McGraw-Hill? Because Jeremy, way back when, asked Yvonne (Jane's alter ego) to work on his book at its Technical Editor. We had to be qualified by his editor, Margie, another so delightful lady who has her act together, who asked a lot of great questions and then -- hired us. Which means, we got to see this book firsthand!
Jeremy is not only a talented blogger, but he's an astute business professional. This book will open doors and get people nodding their heads. Blogs as a marketing tool will suddenly make sense (even for those who accept this, already. Jeremy makes it so simple and obvious, with case studies and personal experiences -- Jane knows everyone will want a copy.)
VIsit Jeremy's blog and read up on his book. You can even pre-order. His latest book posting says preorders are stacking up at Amazon.
That's it for today, folks. As the week goes on, we may be making another fantastic announcement. But, not until AFTER our interview tomorrow. This week's interview is someone so special, Jane can't wait to introduce her to you!
What's not to like about that??

Wow... Thank you so much. Your review makes me blush :o
