It's long into another busy week for Jane. We're recovering from the shock of the hurricane, trying to piece together what's real and what's not. We thank all our blogger friends for sifting through the rubble to uncover truths -- and for the overwhelming support the blogosphere is giving to the people, yes, the people, who are still suffering through this horrible ordeal.
As a blog that tries to present relevant information on marketing to women online, Lip-sticking feels especially connected to the conversation bubbling across the net. Women feel the pain of this tragedy deep in our hearts.
Jane is proud to say that many, yes, many men all about the net are just as troubled and touched. Men...who are not shy about their emotions. In the end, the results, the support, the helping hands, will come from them, the men and women who know...there, but for the grace of God go I.
So, we thought we would post some links worth visiting, today. Since much of our information comes from others scattered about the net, today seemed a good day to give those who help us in our mission, some recognition. These are the very same people who are actively working to support the displaced thousands in the Gulf. Heart to heart connections, across the net.
Tomorrow, dear readers, we will bring you the most outstanding interview we have ever had the pleasure to participate in. An interview and an invitation -- from the heart.
Until then, we offer you marketing to women at its best, from all over the net:
Carnival of the Capitalists: Over at RethinkIP, a grand, new blog (to Jane, but not to many others, we know) from a group of lawyers -- yes, we said lawyers -- who understand people! Just read their great post...introducing the long list of participants in this week's Carnival. We like their style. They are most definitely female-friendly.
Hop on over to Leah's Working Solo blog, where Jane (aka Yvonne) was fortunate enough to participate in a discussion on "How important is a healthy lifestyle to your business success?" Eye-opening and thought provoking. We agree with Leah when she cites Matt Homann's remark, "Poor health and strained family relations are both "business expenses" I'm unwilling to pay," as being the best answer of all. Many of Jane's friends are quoted at Leah's. As it is with the blogosphere.
From our delightful friend, Kelly, in Texas, a note mentioning that we might like to subscribe to Neen James' newsletter. How right she is. Neen is announcing some great stats: that Women account for 66% of home computer purchases, more than 90% of health and beauty supplies, and are in the majority of certified meeting planners, among her other stats. A visit is in order, we think.
Last, certainly not, no never, least, we also have the good fortunate to be included in Stacy Harp's new venture, Great Biz Stuff, along with several of our good, good friends (like Rosa Say and Wayne Hurlbert). Stacy of the Vituralosophy blog, is a go-getter, as evidenced by this new venture of hers. In addition to her blog, and her business, AssistU (virtual assistants -- we all need one!) she is now launching the Great Biz Stuff site. We can only say, Be there, or Be Square! (surely, no one says that anymore! except us!)
It's time to turn in now, dear readers. We have to prepare for our interview tomorrow. An interview you will not want to miss! We wouldn't say it if we didn't mean it. Stay tuned.
What's not to like about that?
