I love Lucid Marketing. It's a firm that concentrates on Marketing to Moms, but... that's just another way to say marketing to women, cause Moms are - well, women.
(not that a whole lot of Dads aren't just as good at mothering...they are!)
This week my Lucid Marketing newsletter was so chock full of great stuff, I want to share it with you. Then, I'm off to visit my Mom, for Easter.
First, this little fact about Youth Power in Canada really impressed me:
"...that brands need to accept they are no longer in control."
It's being repeated over and over again - in marketing newsletters all over the net. Why isn't anyone paying attention?
Also, this is a big factor in dealing with youth, "If you want them to embrace your brand and products, be honest." Now, that's not just a youth requirement - women require it big time. Honesty is up there with value. Be honest and give us good value.
More info from the newsletter was about the IAB Conference (Interactive Advertising Bureau) where the report was that industry stats show a rise in online ad spending to 19.5 billion in 2007. Then, a bit about user-generated content - which isn't as new as we think.
All good stuff. All important stuff. All worth your time and energy. Get thee to the blog and read more.
Ok... I can't leave without sharing Tea Partay. Yeah, I laughed. But...I'm not sure how funny it really is. You? [see video below from YouTube.]

Okay. I thought this was clever. I liked it. I thought it was funny. I'm also from the east coast, so I got it. Here's to New England gangsta rappers who know the importance of sending thank you notes.
