Jane Recommends The Women's Museum

The Women's Museum...just announced their new website. Jane couldn't help but click over to it immediately.

To quote from their homepage:

"In recognizing the diverse and demanding roles women have played over the last 100 years, The Women's Museum highlights the mind, body, and spirit of the women who have changed the future. Exhibits celebrate the women's movement, women in the arts, sports, and science."

Naturally, Jane couldn't help but click into their 'store'...here's what we found:

Consignment Opportunities
We are currently looking for consignment items to sell in The Museum Store and Online Store. If you are interested in selling your items on consignment, please email pictures of your items and a link to your website (if applicable) to [email protected]. Thank you!

Jane is partial to the Breast Cancer Awareness Pen, but if you have products worth selling at the museum, here's an opportunity not to be passed up.

In a follow-up email, the Women's Museum sent Jane a newsletter all about America's First Ladies. As they note in their description of this national traveling exhibition,

"The nation’s expectations of the first ladies reflect people’s ideals of home, family, and womanhood—ideals that change with every generation. Some first ladies remained within the boundaries of what was considered a proper role for women in their day. Others challenged and expanded those boundaries, subtly or openly."

The Women's Museum is worth bookmarking for future reference.

What's not to like about that?
