Jane Compliments a Friend
August 21, 2005
Dear readers, here it is Sunday, just about 8:30 in the morning. Jane has been up for about an hour, schlepping around the house with her coffee, purposely ignoring the dust-balls in the corners of every room (dust and dog hair, the consequences of having hardwood floors). The cat, curled up on the bed, lifts her head now and then, opening one eye, as if to say, "Will you sit down and be quiet!" The dog is more attentive -- she is waiting for her morning walk. Her eyes follow us everywhere we go. The three kittys talked about in a previous post are downstairs once again, waiting for the daughter and her fiance to retrieve them.
Jane has been so busy lately, we have neglected many of our favorite bloggers. We hope to remedy that soon. One problem is that we meet new marvelous bloggers every week, via our Thursday interviews, and it's just impossible to read everyone, every day. Hence, we save some of Saturday and Sunday for catching up.
Today, we are so delighted to share some exciting news. Our dear, dear friend Rosa Say of Managing with Aloha! (a top 10 book of the year at Lip-sticking just last year), announced on her so excellent blog that her book is going into its second printing! Whoohoo! Dear readers, if you only knew the excitement that brings to any author! We congratulate Rosa, and continue to encourage everyone to buy and read Rosa's book.
Notice, dear readers, when you visit Rosa's blog, that she spends a fair amount of time Thanking her readers. Thank yous are powerful things. When customers get a personal thank you, whether it's a shake of the hand, or a note sent to their home, it makes them feel important to you. It builds trust and loyalty. Rosa has a loyal group of blog readers, many of us who have read her book, and many who find her via her online marketing. For instance, Rosa is sponsoring a contest ... on her blog. The prizes are tres' superb! But, the concept is even better.
We're not sure where Rosa learned to get out there and promote herself, her business, and her book so well...but, we advise all readers to take a look. She covers it all...maybe it's just part of Managing with Aloha!
We have to ask: what's not to like about that? And, thank you, Rosa, for giving us a great topic to write about today!
Aloha my dear Jane and delightful Yvonne, and mahalo nui loa; thank you so much for this wonderful post; your generosity in doing so touches me deeply.
Truth be told I often feel I don’t market myself well enough and must do more, however I have been blessed by your friendship, support and inspiration along with that of so many others: you all push me to be better! What I have learned best via the connection of our online communities is that the most successful marketing is all about relationships and fulfilled agreements, and yes, that surely is a common thread with the management and leadership philosophies taught in Managing with Aloha.
We come here to Lip-Sticking to read of your marketing savvy Jane! And like so many others I will keep returning, so I may learn more from your insightful and thoroughly delightful lessons! And a big ho‘omaika‘i ‘ana (congratulations) on your recent announcement as well; your collaboration with Jeremy Wright on Blog Marketing is fabulous news for all of us!
