I could probably update this blog every hour - if I only had the time. There is so much out there, on the net, in the news, as part of a forum or discussion, all pertaining to women and marketing, and marketing to women (yes, I slip that phrase in a lot - just in case you forget where you are), that it's a bit mind-boggling.
What I have elected to do, now and in the future, is report on ways you can successfully use the Internet to market your products or services to women, do book reviews, occasionally do a website or blog review, and pass along qualified information on women and women's issues. Oh, and do Smart Man Online and Smart Woman Online interviews, of course. Often, I will share content from trusted sources in the blogosphere, as I'm going to do today.
Pam over at Escape from Cubicle Nation (where her post on How to avoid fright-inducing link sharing post is a must read - has something cool going on right now. It's called "Pam's Favorite Things 2006." What's it all about? Well, here's what Pam says,
"From now (November 15) until November 28, send me an email with the subject line "Pam's Favorite Things Submission" and tell me about your product, why you think it would be a great gift, and how you got your start as an entrepreneur. Send it to pcs (at) ganas (dot) com.
I will sift through the piles of excellent entries and choose the Top 10 to be included in the post to be published here on December 1. Feel free to spread the word to other creative entrepreneurs who want to join in the fun."
She has some caveats - so, get over there to her blog and read all about it. And, let us know what you're submitting.
Also, over at Gongol, this week's Carnival of the Capitalists is up. Brian (the host) isn't impressed with many of the entries - so you may just want to look at the ones he cited as worth reading. It's been awhile since I particiapted in a Carnival (except the ones I did over at the petblog)...but I hope to get back in the groove. My entry is on Innovation. This post by Seth Godin is worth a click.
And, I received a notice today about "Children of the Men" a new movie due out in December. The title was interesting, so I went to the site to check it out. I'm glad I did. It's provocative and thought-provoking. The premise: what if humanity were on the brink of extinction? What if something was preventing women from ever getting pregnant...what would you do? What could you do?"
Michael Caine is in the movie, along with Julianne Moore - two actors I really like, so...that's another reason to visit these links, the one above for the movie, and this one to what's called "The Human Project." There's a sign up to join the community - which I don't have time to do.
But, I'm intrigued. Love to hear your thoughts.
