Okay, it's Thursday, not Wednesday. Technically, I should have posted this yesterday. But, I wanted to salute the Mommy Bloggers, yesterday.
So...today, I decided to let this outstanding video stand on its own. Make a note - the information that came to me was that the 21 talented dancers in this video are... deaf. To quote from the email, "Relying only on signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage, these extraordinary dancers deliver a visual spectacle that is at once intricate and stirring. Its first major international debut was in Athens... at the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Paralympics. But it has long been in the repertoire of the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe."
The note goes on to say they've traveled to more than 40 countries. Their lead dancer holds a BA from the Hubei Fine Arts Institue. According to reports I found online at the links here, the video was recorded in Beijing during the Spring Festival in 2005.
Enjoy - this is truly beauty in motion.
