Why Blogging Will Never Give You the Results You Want
A Friday Fit by Five: Marketing to Women Online

Of Birthdays and Memories

We've been home from our CO trip for several weeks now. It almost seems like we never left. But, that's the way with trips, isn't it? Despite all the memories and good times, the event fades and all you have left are pictures.

Since we returned, the daughter celebrated a milestone birthday. I won't tell you which one but... that's pretty easy to figure out. The reason for today's post is to celebrate another birthday. A birthday that happened while we were in Colorad, and that was bittersweet in its unfolding.

While we were visiting the daughter and granddaughter, both were in a dance recital. Mother and Chloe_and_leigh daughter - not in any dances together this year, but, in the recital. We captured stills and videos of it... and, the daughter has her solo dance featured on her Beleighve blog, in tribute to the birthday that was - and yet, wasn't.

It makes me cry when I watch it - because I know how much this has affected Chloe. The lingering passing of one of her best friends, of brain cancer, was a complicated and frightful ordeal, as much for it's mystery as for it's tragedy. The Beleighve Blog is in its infancy. Chloe has big dreams and expectations for the Foundation she is creating - which the blog will serve over time. For now, it's a small tribute from one friend to another.

It's not marketing to women - it's a small tribute from Mother to daughter. And that is marketing to women.
