The List: As It Grows and Grows
W stands for Woman and for Wondrous
August 22, 2007
UPDATE! UPDATE! I thought of a few more...
The "W" list... it's making the blogosphere rounds and showing up in a lot of unexpected places. I say unexpected because some of the folks passing it along, and adding to it, are writers and bloggers who would not have been on my radar, let alone the radar of folks who track these things. I'm sharing the list because it needs to be shared, by all of us, by everyone, all across the blogosphere. Look at this fabulous, Wondrous, list of Women bloggers - and pass it along.
I think the W-List originated at Conversation Agent to compile a database of women bloggers. After all, who converses most, men or women?
I found it at Diva Marketing, where Toby was kind enough to add this blog. Now, the W list is all over. Today I am adding my favorites, who haven't shown up yet. The goal is for YOU to take the list, add names, and continue sending it around. Oh, and get over to the Wiki and make sure the names get added there.
There you are... carry on.

Yvonne, thank you so much for sharing the list and the wiki...I've been following it around, and it has been fun to watch it grow, and also to "meet" so many new and interesting bloggers.
Thanks for including me; be well.

I agree with Lena - it's a bummer that we have to have a list to be noticed and heard, but if that's what it takes - so be it. Numbers talk, I wonder how many readers of these blogs this list represents.

Yvonne,
I am heading right over to the WIKI to add my list! Thanks for all you do - and for your comments on my blog!
Wishing you a great day... and then some.

To all, thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. THIS is what the list is about. It isn't about becoming more important, or more famous, or competing with the boys, it's about celebrating womanwhood. Lena, think of this as a woman's gathering of thoughts, not as a "hey, boys, look at us..."
Let's all be happy and proud to be building a community of links that support womanhood. The caring, sharing, outrageousness (for some), conversation, whatever. It's about supporting the voice of people who sometimes get overlooked.
Here's to all of us: [lifts glass of wine and sips]. Hope I get to meet you all, someday.

Yvonne - the wonderful aspect of "the W" is the heart and the caring that seems to have been spun off. Thanks for continuing this conversation.
Lena - i agree somewhat. think of it in terms of celebration of some great women bloggers. perhaps the next list going round will be guys only. who knows .. for me the joy in the pass along is what makes this list more than just a meme.

Yvonne,
Thanks for posting the list and the wiki and continuing the conversation.
Lena's point is well taken. Yet because we women have not really used our voices until now, this is just one more way to show our stuff...and kick some ass!
