Sharing the Link Love: Look What I Found
November 09, 2007
Kirsten Osolind is the #1 supporter of women on the net, IMHO. Look what I found over at her blog recently - a post by a guest author who is a member of that OTHER gender! As Kirsten says, "At RE:INVENTION we believe smart men can offer smart insights." So, so true! Hence, the guest post by JC Duarte... hop over and read it for yourself. He's not only charming, he is, as K says, SMART!
Those of you who are business bloggers will like this new site: iBlogBusiness. For many of you, the Working at Home Blog Carnival will be very relevant. Lots of great content there. The rest of iBlogBusiness talks business blogs...
By and far the best thing I found this week was the Business Idea of the Day site [powered by the Myvesta Foundation]. Here's what they say:
Donate an Idea. Change a Life.
The Idea: By starting a business a single person can help to improve a village or town, of any size, by creating success and opportunity for families and neighbors.
Site Mission: To give away business ideas for free to spark the imagination of people to create a business to change their life for the better. To see opportunity where there once was no hope. To do a good thing.
Do take note that participation, as of today, is 44.4% Male, and 55.6% female. Hmmm...
Thanks for the mention. The Business Idea of the Day blog is a labor of love and I would strongly encourage more women to contribute business ideas that others can use to improve their lives. I'm glad the site struck a cord with you as well. I think good people recognize good intentions when they see it. I challenge all your readers to donate a business idea today and change a life.
Big Hug.
Steve

I can think of women that I know who would be helped by this. Great idea.

Hi Yvonne,

Thanks again and keep up the great work here.
Best Regards,

Thanks, Yvonne. Appreciate the link. JC Duarte (www.charminguy.com) really did share smart perspectives.
Championing women's issues isn't an anti-men crusade. It's about connecting the dots and boosting under-dogs. Defending women when they can't find their own voice or when they are relegated to arm candy or token status.
And as for you and I and the rest of the women who are fearlessly dedicated to changing the world. Well. Sometimes even cheerleaders need cheerleading.
Cheers!
kindly,
kirsten
