I accept that I'm in the minority - your campaign seems quite popular with others. But, it makes me lean towards generic brands, not K-C.

I repeat, eeewwwww!
Donna DeClemente commented on 'Kimberly-Clark Gets It with New Widget'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c011b53ef00e54fe4c27488332008-01-18T13:01:37Z2008-01-25T02:48:04ZDonna DeClementehttp://profile.typekey.com/ddeclemente/I encouraged Yvonne to look at the K-C post I wrote on my blog not only because the overall marketing...
I encouraged Yvonne to look at the K-C post I wrote on my blog not only because the overall marketing campaign is targeted to women(and the widget along with their promotional website is definitely a smart way to market to them online) But also because the widget itself is utilizing technology in a way that hasn't been used before - and I know Yvonne loves to share new technology with her readers. The Dancing Packages were used in K-C's campaign last year, so I assume K-C got a good response or I highly doubt they would have brought them back and spent this amount of their marketing dollars around it.
Joanna Pena-Bickley commented on 'Kimberly-Clark Gets It with New Widget'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8341c011b53ef00e54ff8190488342008-01-18T03:11:39Z2008-01-18T03:11:39ZJoanna Pena-Bickleyhttp://joannapenabickley.typepad.com/on/2008/01/on-kimberly-c-1.htmlJulie: As the creator of the widget (design, video & technology) this is great feedback.
Anita: Thanks...out talent was great! They have said it was not to bad for them - they all appear on The View and seem to have a great time trying to prove that they could dance with HEAVY costumes.

as for the "Eeeeewwww".... at some point we have used these products and they have saved the day in some way. What we hope to achieve is to lighten the conversation on such practical topics.

Remember to use the widget to enter to win a chance at 1 of 16 25,000.00 prizes, then watch The View to see if you won!

With both now juxtaposed in my mind, I am not sure what to think. I don't dislike the piece and can't deny that, in terms of branding, it will run through my mind the next time I am in the supermarket looking at, among other K-C products, Cottonelle toilet paper.
