Who wants to be an (Internet) Millionaire?

By Guest Blogger, Robbi Hess, Editor, ByLine Magazine

Who wants to be a millionaire? Okay, who doesn't want to rake in a few extra dollars, especially in the face of more than $4 a gallon gasoline? I know I do. And with the advice offered in Scott Fox's "Internet Riches The Simple Money-Making Secrets of Online Millionaires" I just might be able to.

For less than the price of a couple of lattes, (Fox says for less than $25 you can get your business up and rolling) those with an entrepreneurial spirit can go online build a website and get the ball rolling on making that extra million. Whether you're offering goods or a service for Internet_riches_2"sale" you can use the internet to your ultimate advantage for getting the word out, finding customers and building a buzz for what you have to offer.

Fox offers hints, tips, checklists, and real-world examples of those who have made the leap. He writes that "websites are a great way to turn hobbies into money making businesses. If your site offers value, it's likely that some of the 1.3 billion people now online will be interested in your products or services, no matter how niche-oriented they are." As an example he points to a woman who sells toys for parrots.

He offers 7 Simple Steps to Stimulating your Success Online:

  1. Determine the demand for your product
  2. Examine competitors to differentiate your approach
  3. Register your domain name
  4. Post a test website
  5. Submit your new site to search engines
  6. Install cash collectors
  7. Email marketing newsletters

Bottom line, whether you're looking to supplement your coffee and danish habit, are looking to buy a Mercedes, or somewhere in the middle, Fox's book offers easy to follow ideas for making it big on the internet.

As somebody who makes a part-time living writing for various sites and is currently learning about the joys of WrapMail, I can tell you that the internet can be a very profitible place if you have an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to make things happen.

Scott Fox, Author of Internet Riches

Thanks very much for the nice review of my book, Internet Riches. I'm particularly interested in helping women and minorities get their share of the e-commerce revolution.
My free special report "7 Simple Steps to 'Stimulate' Your Success Online" (which you quote above) can help women who are receiving stimulus checks put that money to good use to start their own e-businesses, too.
Please keep up the good work supporting women entrepreneurs!
Scott Fox
