Winter is finally here! For many this is very unfortunate, but with the cold weather and snow comes winter fashion, which adds some excitement to this freezing season. Many of you may be thinking, "What? Winter clothes, exciting? No way." But there are many adorable and sexy items that are trendy only during the winter season.
Cute hats, stylish scarves, furry mittens, UGG boots, puffy jackets, long coats and ear muffs should have all come back into your daily wardrobe.
Your last year items may bore you, and you probably want new winter items to show off these holidays. So the question is, what's in for winter 2010-2011?
The styles on the runway are fur, military, minimalism, leather, lace, thigh high boots, trench coats, aviator jackets and boots with fur/shearling. But not necessarily are you going to follow the high-end fashion trends exactly if you live in for example, somewhere like Madison, Wisconsin, like I do. Winter fashions there are not exactly of runway quality, but more jeans and NorthFace fleeces.
So to be trendy but not outrageous at the same time, all you need to do is find a happy medium between this season's hot key trends, and your comfort zone. Many stores feature the new looks, but with items not quite as extravagant as seen on the runway. Try stores like H&M, Charlotte Rouse, and Forever 21 for more affordable versions of the D&G, Chanel and Burberry hot items. Don't live somewhere where you can easily access stores like Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors? Shop online. My favorite designer shopping website is ShopBop.com, and it provides free delivery and return shipping.
So just remember to keep your winter wardrobe up to date and stylish; get rid of those mothball-smelling old coats and scuffed up snow boots, and feel gorgeous while keeping warm at the same time.
Feeling beautiful isn't about what exactly you're wearing, but how you feel about yourself and the feeling you get by wearing the clothes you have on. If you're feeling frumpy in your too many layered sweaters, you're going to feel a little down and show less confidence on your face. You want to exert confidence and beauty, and even in winter, you can--though you may have thought in the past it was impossible to look sexy in all your winter clothes.
Hopefully now that has changed, and you're ready to become the winter wonderland vixen you know is within you.
