Girlfriends Online
November 14, 2011
It's true - women make friends for life. Even when we lose track of old friends - moving away, changing lifestyle (going from single to married or back again), we remember those friends fondly and often wish we could get back together.
I am fortunate to have made many friends over the years, while still maintaining a connection (however small it is) to my high school friends. Just before my move to CO, I attended an impromptu reunion with many of my high school friends.
Today, I count all of you as friends. People who write to me via this blog and who I have met via this blog, make up a large group of wonderful women and men that make me glad to know them. Today, one of my true BFFs, Toby Bloomberg, who not too long ago launched the premiere site for single women over 40 - All the Single GirlFriends - has featured me in a short interview on her site.
This interview reveals a little more about me - information I have not shared on this blog. It also shows how connected women are to each other. And, despite what you read about online or in newspapers now and then, most women are supportive of each other... there isn't as much "back stabbing" as some would have you believe.
Now, that said... I will admit that the worst bosses I ever had... were women. But, in context, I only had a few women bosses. I had a lot of male bosses - and I do not want to go into the way I was treated by some of them. Suffice it to say - Herman Cain has a lot to answer for, IMBO. I feel for those women.
Take a minute to check out the interview on All the Single GirlFriends, if you get a chance. Let me know what you think.
Check out the Lip-sticking Facebook page and click "like" and stop over at All the Single Girlfriends and click "like" also, please and thank you.
are you ready for this? With all of the parallels you and I have discovered in our lives, there is yet another:
LOG CABINS!!
OMG a HUGE dream of mine is to live in a LOG CABIN!!!
Don't worry, that isn't all that I got from reading this wonderful interview :)
You have been an AMAZING girlfriend who I hope I have as a part of my life for FOREVER!!!!!
Thank you for always seeing more in me than I see in myself...THAT is the epitome of what it is to be a fabulous "girlfriend"

I was recently the maid of honour at my best friend's wedding. We went to school together from grade 1-12 and are now both 29. It is so wonderful to have GF's that you've been friends with your whole life :) Loved this little article!
