Jeep Wrangler Sweepstakes from Falken Tire Celebrates 2013 Jeep Jamboree USA

By Guest Blogger, Donna DeClemente, Donna's Promo Talk

For the past three years we have assisted Falken Tire with a major sweepstakes giveaway. The first year they gave away a Porsche Cayman. Last year it was the Porsche 911 Carerra Sweepstakes. This year they changed it up and instead of another Porsche are giving away a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon in the 2013 Falken Tire Off-Road Rubicon Sweepstakes which will soon be coming to an end.

Falken-Win-JeepFalken Tire is a leader in high performance on- and off-road tire technology for cars and trucks. This year they formed a new partnership with Jeep Jamboree USA and kicked off this sweepstakes back on March 22 to coincide with the start of the 2013 Jeep Jamboree USA series which continues until November 13, 2013. Jeep Jamborees are off-road adventure weekends that bring people and their Jeep 4x4's together in the outdoors. The history of these off-road treks goes back to 1953 when 4×4 pioneer Mark A. Smith organized the first ever Jeep Jamboree and voyaged across the Sierra Nevada Mountains by way of the old Rubicon Trail. In 1954, Jeep became involved and Jeep Jamborees have been an off-road tradition ever since.

“We are very excited to be a part of the world-renowned Jeep Jamboree USA program,” said Nestor Cabrera, Falken Tire’s Off-road Supervisor.  “This sweepstakes is a great way to help build awareness of our brand and our products, especially our hallmark off-road tire, the WildPeak A/T.  We are strong supporters of the Jeep brand as well, and believe this special Wrangler characterizes the kind of vehicle many Jamboree participants would drive…or want to drive."

Falken-Tire-Jeep-FacebookThe Grand Prize vehicle this year is valued at $65,000. To enter this sweepstakes we again are using the Signal platform to create and host this promotion which collects the three different methods of entry we are offering into one database. As with the past Falken Tire sweepstakes, the promotion is mainly featured on their Facebook Page. Participants must first be a fan to access the entry form. Jeep Jamboree also features a link on their website that takes fans to the Sweepstakes entry page on the Falken Tire Facebook page.

Since Falken Tire hosts many events throughout the year, they also wanted to include mobile entry into this year's promotion. People have the option to use their smart phone to scan a QR code provided by Falken Tire at these events or use a link that directs them to a mobile-optimized landing page. They can also enter by text message by texting the promotion keyword “WildPeak” to the short code 50101.

Currently there are a total of over 68,000 entries. Nearly 70% have come from the Falken Tire Facebook Page, 24% from the mobile website and just 6% from text entry. The platform allows us to maintain an SMS list of all the subscribers in order to send out future messages via text. We are now combining the text entries from this sweepstakes with the Falken Tire Meet Ryan Villopoto Sweepstakes that ran earlier this year to establish a list of confirmed subscribers.

So in a couple of weeks one very lucky person will be the winner of this brand new, specially modified Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon that has been on display at selected Jeep Jamboree events throughout the season. So check it out and go ahead and enter if you haven't yet!
